Northside Neighborhood Center
Your pledge doesn't fund a program. It reopens the room.
The City has selected our proposal. Now we buy the building, restore it, and open it, and every month of that schedule depends on knowing the support is there when it's needed. Right now we are collecting pledges: a commitment of what you intend to give.

Why a pledge, and not a gift today
The Northside Neighborhood Center, Inc. is a Wisconsin nonprofit corporation. Our application for federal tax-exempt status has been filed, and we are not accepting gifts until the IRS issues its determination, which we expect after the first of the year. When it arrives, we'll be in touch about fulfilling your pledge.
Ways to fulfill a pledge
By check
By check: payable to The Northside Neighborhood Center, Inc., mailed to P.O. Box 153, La Crosse, WI 54602-0153.
From your IRA
From your IRA: if you're 70½ or older, a qualified charitable distribution may be an option once our determination arrives. Ask your advisor.
Through a donor-advised fund
Through a donor-advised fund: a grant recommendation, once our determination arrives.
Stock or pledge over years
Stock, or a pledge over several years: both are welcome and both are common in a campaign this size. Get in touch and we'll walk through it.

Not everyone gives money
Volunteer
we will need far more hands than money can buy, before opening and every week after.
Introduce us
if you know a business, a family foundation, or a neighbor who should hear about this, an introduction is worth more than an appeal letter.
Share your Northside history
photographs, documents, and stories from this neighborhood will fill the history area.
Stay in touch
we send updates when something actually happens, a few times a year, not a few times a month.
